Due to a request, I have decided to post what I think about the Glenn Beck's opinions from my last post.

To tell you the truth, this monologue really made me question weather I truly believe what this guy says every night. I do enjoy listening to him primarily because he asks the questions that people in the media haven't been asking. What he is claiming in this video is pretty harsh. To have video proof and other pieces of evidence that members of the White House staff and advisors to my President are people are socialist, marxist supporters who want to help fundamentally transform the country (run on sentence) is pretty harsh.

You will notice by watching the clip that Beck has established a phone in his set. This phone has a number that is only known by Beck and the White House advisor in charge of occupying Fox News' stories, Anita Dunn. He has told her that if he is not correct in his assumptions, to please call him and correct his facts. The phone has still not rung. He then played the clip with her talking to a graduating high school class about her two "favorite political philosophers": Mother Theresa and Chairman Mao of communist China.

I asked myself if these claims are true that Glenn is making: Anita Dunn is a communist system supporter, there are people in the White House, advising our President, on how to run our country, and that those certain people are marxist, communist supporters. If these things are not true, and there really is a phone for her to call and correct his errors, why has she not called.

On the flip side, let's say that he is lying. Let's say that he is making these outrageous claims, calling these people marxists and communists who are trying to transform our country. If someone were to make that claim about me, and that was not at all what I supported, I would be banging on his back door to make a retraction. I would accuse him of slander and I would do my best to make sure that he shut his mouth! So why has no one in the White House made a statement?

Please think about that. Why has no one called, or made a public statement, or called a press release or come on Fox News to shut them up!?

The White House has instead not made a statement, but gone on attack mode. They have stated that they will no longer look at Fox News as a source for news but as an opinion source. True, there are shows on FNC that are opinion shows like Glenn Beck, but then there are shows that deliver news. They have chosen to not make a statement...to me I have no other choice than but to think that those claims from Glenn Beck are true. What other evidence do I have. Call me closed minded, I really don't think that I am. I would really love some comments from the White House.

Does she sound like she was kidding? Not to me. Sounds like a cop out? Anyone? Please ask yourself, what the hell is going on? Why are we not getting answers?

I really wish that the White House, politicians and other people in Washington would STOP treating us like children who can't handle the truth. But I guess we can't handle the truth because once the kids find out that the parents are not living up to the things that they have asked us to do and try to take complete control over us, the kids rebel against the parent.

If you have not been keeping up on this, Congress has voted to get rid of all funding to ACORN. The thing is that ACORN is just just by itself, it is also funded and is part of SEIU which is one of the biggest Union organizations. They will still get money and it will not be shutting it down. Personally, I think we shouldn't just cut off this nut. Just like if you have bitter fruit, you burn the tree. Hack that tree up and throw it in the fire. This organization is rotten. If I knew that someone was advising my sister about running a prostitution ring, first I would make sure that they were punished by law and then I would make sure that there has not been similar cases. Well, since this has been tested in four other places...I guess we know.

Jon Stewart seems to get it...where is the rest of the media?

I saw this last night on Jon Stewart. Sorry about the "bleeps". I just thought that the fact that he get's it is astounding. He's not even a real journalist as he plainly admits to. I love how he chastises the main stream media for not covering this. Priceless. Again please forgive for the "bleeps" as some harsh language is used.

The consulter in the film admits to having ran her own "escort service", gives advice on how to run a brothel and also how educated the 13 year old girls from El Salvador, who were being brought over strictly for the sex trade.

I was shocked and outraged this morning when I got up to check my facebook account to see what was on the news. What I saw was very disturbing to me. I was informed that two people, posing as a prospective congressman/pimp and a prostitute, went to the Baltimore, Maryland ACORN office to talk to workers about how to hide her occupation on her taxes, help underage girls from El Salvador come to America to become prostitutes, and how to obtain a home which would essentially be used to run a brothel. My first reaction was, ok that's just a bunch of corrupt employees, but as things got deeper and I heard the audio, I was frankly sickened.

A few months ago, I was informed about the Mona Lisa Project, which uncovered Planned Parenthood workers not reporting statutory rape of young girls who go to them and seek help. This is a little similar but now we are talking about the trafficking of young girls!

Just so you know, at 7:01 pm of September 10, 2009, the news websites that were reporting on this were as follows: Fox News, MSNBC and ABC. Both MSNBC and ABC did not have any video. I am personally shocked that MSNBC had anything to say. Both news organizations only posted about it because the two employees in the video were fired today.

Where are all the reporters? Where are all the Women's Rights activists? Where are all journalists that are searching for news so that their organizations do not go under. Here it is. Take it! Go explore what ACORN is doing with the money that they have been funded by the Government since 1994. Please! Seriously, what is going on!!? Hope you can handle my ranting (I'm really a very happy person, this blog just helps me let off steam, ask simple questions and get others thinking about things.) but this is not over. People can't just ignore this.

President Obama's Speech to School Children

I found out today that President Obama plans to give a speech to school children K-12. He plans on talking to them about "persisting and succeeding in school. The president will challenge students to work hard, set educational goals, and take responsibility for their learning." Now that sounds wonderful and I do agree with helping children to succeed. Absolutely! In addition to this, there are also lesson plan ideas for teachers to help with follow-up discussions on President Obama's speech. Now personally I think it's great that the President wants to encourage school children to do well in school but I don't agree with the policies that are being passed in our country right now, so how do I know that some of these things or issues are not going to make their way in to this speech. I am really intreagued by people from the past trying to warn the American people about Socialism. Glenn had two of his media guys put this together, they found this audio by Ronald Reagan from his presidency. This was on the Glenn Beck show on Friday. I had to listen to this four times because I was so blown away by it. Here is audio and a transcript:

Now back in 1927 an American socialist, Norman Thomas, six times candidate for president on the Socialist Party ticket, said the American people would never vote for socialism. But he said under the name of liberalism the American people will adopt every fragment of the socialist program.

There are many ways in which our government has invaded the precincts of private citizens, the method of earning a living. But at the moment I'd like to talk about another way because this trip is with us and at the moment is more imminent.

One of the traditional methods of imposing statism or socialism on a people has been by way of medicine. It’s very easy to disguise a medical program as a humanitarian project. Most people are a little reluctant to oppose anything that suggests medical care for people who possibly can't afford it.

Now, the American people, if you put it to them about socialized medicine and gave them a chance to choose, would unhesitatingly vote against it. We had an example of this. Under the Truman administration it was proposed that we have a compulsory health insurance program for all people in the United States, and, of course, the American people unhesitatingly rejected this.

So with the American people on record as not wanting socialized medicine, Congressman Ferrand said, if we can only break through and get our foot inside the door, they can we can expand the program after that. Well, let's see what the socialists themselves had to say about it. They say once the Ferrand bill is passed, this nation will be provided with a mechanism for socialized medicine capable of indefinite expansion in every direction until it includes the entire population. Well, we can't say we haven't been warned.

James Madison in 1788, speaking to the Virginia Convention said: “Since the general civilization of mankind, I believe there are more instances of the abridgment of the freedom of the people by gradual and silent encroachment of those in power, than by violent and sudden usurpations.”

Now in our country under our free enterprise system, we have seen medicine reach the greatest heights that it has in any country in the world. Today, the relationship between patient and doctor in this country is something to be envied any place. The privacy, the care that is given to a person, the right to chose a doctor, the right to go from one doctor to the other.

But let’s also look from the other side, at the freedom the doctor loses. A doctor would be reluctant to say this. Well, like you, I am only a patient, so I can say it in his behalf. The doctor begins to lose freedoms; it’s like telling a lie, and one leads to another. First you decide that the doctor can have so many patients. They are equally divided among the various doctors by the government. But then the doctors aren’t equally divided geographically, so a doctor decides he wants to practice in one town and the government has to say to him you can’t live in that town, they already have enough doctors. You have to go someplace else. And from here it is only a short step to dictating where he will go.

This is a freedom that I wonder whether any of us have the right to take from any human being.

In this country of ours, took place the greatest revolution that has ever taken place in world’s history. The only true revolution. Every other revolution simply exchanged one set of rulers for another. But here for the first time in all the thousands of years of man’s relation to man, a little group of the men, the founding fathers for the first time – established the idea that you and I had within ourselves the God given right and ability to determine our own destiny.

This freedom was built into our government with safeguards. We talk democracy today. And strangely we let democracy begin to assume the aspect of majority rule is all that is needed. Well, majority rule is a fine aspect of democracy, provided there are guarantees written in to our government concerning the rights of the individual and of the minorities.

What can we do about this? Well, you and I can do a great deal. We can say right now that we want no further encroachment on these individual liberties and freedoms and that you demand the continuation of our traditional free enterprise system. You and I can do this. The only way we can do it is by writing to our congressmen, even if we believe that he's on our side to begin with, write to strengthen his hand. Write those letters now. Call your friends and tell them to write. If you don't, this program, I promise you, will pass just as surely as the sun will come up tomorrow. And behind it will come other federal programs that will invade every area of freedom as we have known it in this country... until one day as Norman Thomas said, we will awake to find that we have socialism. And if you don't do this and if I don't do it, one of these days you and I are going to spend our sunset years telling our children and our children's children what it once was like in America when men were free.

I really love this because I am all about listening to voices of the past. Now, for the second one, Ezra Taft Benson also warned on the evils of Socialism. He was the Secretary of Agriculture under President Eisenhower. He was the host to President Krushev to teach him more about agriculture. Listen and learn:

This was very interesting to me. I have to tell you that I am not a follower of Glenn Beck's show because I share the same religion as him. That's just a perk. I really have to wonder about things that are happening in our country. President Kruschev was right, no we won't outright accept Communism, but we will take doses of it until we don't know what has happened to us. I can honestly say that I have not been the best citizen when it comes to our rights. I have not kept myself educated fully on what my responsibility is. I want to change that. I want to be able to look at my kids and tell them that yes, I tried hard to make sure that my country was still the Republic that our founding fathers and God gave us. I don't want to tell them what America used to be like, I want it back. I don't think that categorizes me as a radical, it categorizes me as a realist. Realistically, this is not a fundamental change. We had it this way in the beginning. It is Obama who said that we were "days away from 'fundamentally changing' the United States of America."

To "fundamentally change" something means to be radical. Read the dictionary:

I just want to have some order back. This is not about Republicans or Democrats. We will always disagree, however until the finger pointing stops, we are going to be like kids in the play ground fighting over who took our ball when the other kid is running away with it down the street. Take Notes in Class

An economics professor at a local college recently made a statement that he while had never failed a single student before, he has now failed an entire class.

It seems the class was insistent that Obama's agenda, specifically his commitment to quasi-socialist policies (the “spread the wealth around” concept) would inevitably and undoubtedly work – that, once it took full effect, no one would be “poor” and no one would be “rich” – that in fact his policies would prove to be a great equalizer.

The professor promptly proposed to the students that the class perform an experiment based on Obama's stated plans for the country.

All grades would be averaged and everyone would receive the same grade so no one would fail. Of course that also meant no one would receive an A either.

After the first test, the grades were averaged and everyone got a B. The students who studied hard were upset and the students who studied little were quite happy.

As the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less and the ones who studied hard decided they wanted a free ride too so they studied little.

The second test average was a D.

No one was happy.

When the 3rd test took place and the scores were presented, the average was an F.

The scores never increased as bickering, blame and name-calling all resulted in hard feelings and no one would study for the benefit of anyone else.

All failed, to their great surprise, and the professor told them that Obama’s agenda (i.e, socialism) would also ultimately fail because when the opportunity for substantial reward is great, the associated effort to succeed is equally great, but when government takes all the most desirable rewards away, no one will succeed, or even try.

I was recently introduced to a song by a band called Muse. The song is called Uprising. I was very intrigued by the words to this song. Please take a listen and read along to the words:

What a trip huh? I really love the lyrics to this song, however, I do have a problem with the general tone of it. Europe right now is in utter chaos (which is where Muse is from.) There is more chaos there right now than here. The difference is that they are taking a physical war approach against their elected officials. What we need to remember is that we need to have a verbal war rather than using physical means to make our points and concerns knows.

While this song has a great message, I worry that many will interpret it to mean a physical call to arms. I would love to hear your thoughts on this. Please post a comment and I will do my best to keep conversations on topics open and for all. What do you all think?

Freedom of Speech vs. Angry Mobs

For the last week or so, Congress has been on vacation, which calls for the annual Town Hall Meetings. "Coming to a Supermarket near you!" This year the subject is around Nationalized Health Care. Those of you who follow the news have seen some of the videos. People yelling, not allowing people to talk, and while it's a little annoying that people are not being allowed to talk, I think it's good that Congress members are getting an idea of what the American people really feel. Regardless of what you believe, we do have the right to protest wether it's against the President or policies.

A few nights ago in St. Louis, a town hall meeting was being held. A Black Conservative man named Kenneth Gladney was attacked for handing out American flags and other Americana items, by a few members of SEIU, the labor union who is in support of Obama's Health plan. Please listen to his words:

I think Glenn put it the best when he said this.

No one should be told to shut up! We have a right. We need to be peaceful and respectful, but we can say what we need to say. We can make decisions together by being respectful and peaceful toward one another. Listen to each other and make sure that you are respectful to them for their opinion. Why Am I Doing This? Part II

I also wanted to let people know a little bit more as to why I am speaking out about our country. I believe that this country is an amazing place. We have been granted liberties and freedoms that other countries dream of being able to have. Many generations in this country have no idea what it is like to be without these liberties. I also believe that the Constitution of the United States of America is a document that was created by the best men in that age and time. They were divinely inspired and helped by a higher power to shape those documents. Many have confirmed that in later writings.

I also want people to know that the reason I am speaking out now is not because I have a problem with a Democrat in the White House. During the Bush administration, I turned a blind eye to many things that were happening in our country. I trusted that the administration would make correct decisions based on what they thought would keep our country safe. I was wrong. There were many things that happened that I now see were not beneficial. There is corruption in both administrations! The sooner we realize that it is the party system that is separating us into useless bickering, and not allowing us to see the full picture, the sooner we will be able to solve some real problems in our country. I am not a conspiracy theorist, I am just stating personal thoughts and observations. I'll have to elaborate in my next entry.

I want people to know that I am not speaking out because I have a problem with race. I think that a person should be elected to office solely based on their principles and their policy. Nothing more. The American people made their choice and I respect that. Even if I do not agree with the actions that are being taken. I am proud to say that I live in a time where Martin Luther King's dream could be fulfilled. We have come far from the days of hatred and blatant persecution of African Americans in our country. Those are days that I personally shudder to study because of all the horrible awful events that took place. However, there were some amazing people that changed history with their examples. Rosa Parks, Martin Luther King Jr, marches on Washington. Making voices heard. I would hope that we could look beyond color and race and look at each other as brothers and sisters. I would hope that I could be looked at as a person who looks on the heart. What if we all could do that?

I don't want anyone to get the wrong idea here. I am a person who is asking deep questions about our country and they are not based on hatred or race. They are just bold questions that I am asking and want to get some feed back. Thomas Jefferson gave some council to his nephew when he was sixteen. He told him to "boldly question" the existence of God. Well, I already have my personal answer for that, but I want to boldly question other things: Is Nationalized Healthcare correct for our country? Is asking bold questions at a Town Hall meeting unpatriotic? Are we going to see an end to bailouts? Why are politicians so hypocritical in their actions and policies? Just questions and observations. You can take it for what you want.

Who am I, Why am I Doing This?

Who am I: I am just a girl living in Ammon, Idaho. I was raised in San Diego, California until I moved to Idaho for my college education. In 2005, I had the opportunity to do an internship in Washington D.C. I loved every minute of it. I learned so much about myself and where I stand. Much to the annoyance of friends and peers, I started to pay more attention to what politicians said and did to the public.

Then the Presidential election of 2008 came. People came in and dropped out. I was left with less than amazing choices. I really sat down and decided what was important to me. I did vote, I did voice my opinion. I was very optimistic concerning the outcome of the election. President Obama was not my first choice, and neither was McCain, but I really wanted to have a positive outlook on his victory. However, it did not take long for me to step back and see that what has been happening has been "fundamentally changing" our country. Out of control spending, firing of Attorney Generals, appointing of Czars, Nationalized Healthcare, there is too much to count. This blog is designed to 1. Help people understand that as a country we are drifting father and farther away from the principles of The Founding Fathers through the agendas of politicians, 2. to get many people together to discuss what is going on and how we can educate those around us.
